Service — Website Development

Website Development

I design, build, and launch websites engineered for search and speed from the first line of code. One developer owns everything — from discovery to the server your site runs on.

StrategyBuildLaunch

I build websites end to end: discovery, design, development, optimization, and launch. For most businesses that means WordPress with Elementor Pro or WooCommerce; for products that outgrow a CMS, I build custom applications with Next.js and Node.js. Either way, one developer owns the whole build, from the first sitemap to the server it runs on.

Most websites are built first and optimized later, usually by a different person working around decisions the developer already made. I work the other way. I have spent three years doing both jobs — building WordPress sites for international clients and running the technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, and server administration behind them — so search visibility and performance are engineered into the build, not patched on after launch.

This page explains what professional website development includes, how an SEO-first approach changes each phase, and how to judge any developer you are considering — including me. If you already know what you need, the individual service pages cover each area in more depth.

What professional website development includes

A professional build is a sequence, and skipped steps show up later as rework. Every project I take on moves through five phases, and each phase produces something concrete you can review before the next one begins.

  • Discovery — I map your pages, your audience, and the search intent each page should answer before anything gets designed. The output is a sitemap and a page-by-page content plan.
  • Design — layouts built for how visitors actually read: clear hierarchy, one job per page, mobile-first. The website design service page covers this process in full.
  • Build — clean, semantic markup in WordPress, Elementor Pro, and WooCommerce, or custom code with Next.js and Node.js, depending on what the project needs.
  • Optimization — Core Web Vitals, metadata, schema markup, and internal linking handled before launch, not bolted on after.
  • Launch — deployment to a VPS I configure myself: DNS, SSL/TLS, firewall, automated backups, and monitoring set up in Google Search Console and GA4.

How an SEO background changes the build

Most SEO problems are development problems. Bloated page-builder output, heading tags used for styling, images that shift the layout, missing schema — these are created during the build and are expensive to fix afterward. I have spent three years running technical SEO audits on sites other developers built, so I know exactly which decisions cause those problems, and I make different ones.

In practice, site architecture is planned around search intent, every template uses semantic HTML with a correct heading structure, and schema markup is written into the build itself. Content is also structured so AI search — Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity — can lift and cite it directly. Answer engine optimization is far easier to build in than to retrofit.

Performance gets the same treatment. I keep Elementor output lean, control image formats and loading behavior, and test Core Web Vitals on real templates before launch. The SEO-friendly web development and website performance pages break the method down in detail.

03 / Website Development

One developer from code to server

Most projects split the work across a designer, a developer, a hosting company, and an SEO consultant. Every handoff loses context. I handle the full stack myself: the code, the CMS, and the Linux VPS the site runs on.

That means deployment, DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, automated backups, a web application firewall, and server hardening are part of the build — not a shared hosting plan chosen for price. When something breaks, there is no chain of vendors pointing at each other. There is one person, and he built the whole thing.

If you have an existing site, I migrate it without discarding what it has earned. Redirects are mapped page by page, metadata is preserved, and Search Console is monitored through the transition.

Who this is for

This service fits three situations. You are launching a business and need a first website built to earn search traffic instead of just existing. You have a site that looks acceptable but loads slowly, ranks poorly, or cannot be edited without calling a developer — that usually calls for a website redesign. Or you sell online and need a WooCommerce store built to handle real catalog, payment, and shipping complexity.

I work with clients worldwide from Lahore, Pakistan, and the process is remote by default: discovery calls, staged previews you can click through, and a launch checklist we walk together. If your project is software rather than a website — a dashboard, a portal, an AI-based SaaS product — the web application development service is the better starting point.

How to judge a website developer — including me

Before you hire anyone, ask for evidence of craft rather than promises of outcomes. Any developer worth hiring can show you these things on sites they have already shipped.

I am glad to walk through my own builds against every item on this list. Email info@mustafadev.org or call +92 313 1483233 and tell me what you are trying to build.

  • Run their recent work through PageSpeed Insights and look at mobile Core Web Vitals, not the portfolio screenshots.
  • View the page source. Headings should follow a logical order — one H1, then H2s — and images should carry descriptive alt text.
  • Check a build with Google's Rich Results Test. Missing schema markup tells you SEO was never part of the process.
  • Ask who controls the hosting, where backups live, and how restores work. Vague answers now become emergencies later.
  • Ask what happens after launch. A professional hands over documentation, analytics access, and a site you can edit yourself.

What you get

  • Discovery report: sitemap, page plan, and target search intent per page
  • Responsive design and build in WordPress, Elementor Pro, or custom code
  • WooCommerce setup for stores: products, payments, shipping, taxes
  • On-page SEO built in: metadata, schema markup, internal linking
  • Core Web Vitals testing and optimization before launch
  • VPS deployment with SSL/TLS, WAF, server hardening, and automated backups
  • Google Search Console and GA4 configured and verified
  • Handover documentation and a walkthrough so you can edit the site yourself

Questions

How long does website development take?

Most business websites take four to eight weeks from discovery to launch, depending on page count, custom functionality, and how quickly content is approved. A WooCommerce store or custom application takes longer. I give a fixed schedule after discovery, once the scope is actually known.

How much does website development cost?

Cost is driven by scope: the number of unique page designs, ecommerce or custom functionality, content migration, and hosting requirements. I quote a fixed price after a discovery call rather than publishing a rate that would be wrong for your project. The quote itemizes design, development, optimization, and server setup so you can see where the budget goes.

Do you build with WordPress or custom code?

Both — WordPress with Elementor Pro or WooCommerce for most business sites, and Next.js with Node.js when the project is an application rather than a website. WordPress wins when you need to edit content yourself and launch quickly. Custom code wins for dashboards, complex logic, and SaaS products. I recommend the stack during discovery based on what the project needs.

Is SEO included in website development?

Yes. Every site I build ships with on-page SEO: metadata, schema markup, semantic heading structure, internal linking, and Core Web Vitals optimization. That is the technical foundation; ongoing work like keyword research, content strategy, and link building is a separate SEO engagement.

Do you provide hosting and maintenance after launch?

Yes. I deploy to a VPS I administer directly, with SSL/TLS, automated backups, a web application firewall, and server hardening included in every launch. After launch I can keep monitoring Search Console and analytics, apply updates, and maintain the server — or hand everything over with documentation if you prefer to manage it in-house.
